Description
After a year of inactivity, due to the wildfires of Oregon in 2020, "Wild Thing" is one of three pieces that I completed and entered in a Holiday show, "A Riot of Color", held at the Confluence Gallery in Twisp, Washington. The theme was that all work submitted be monochromatic (hues, shades and tones of one color at a time). Works great for me, since my work is always monochromatic, for the most part. Also, the artwork could be no larger than 10" x 10", to include the frame. I only found out about the show thanks to a road trip through the Northern Cascades in mid-September, and the curator was nice enough to look over my website and invite me to participate in the exhibit. So, upon completion of our road trip, I had about one month to complete the three pieces, plus a commissioned piece that I had received just prior to our road trip. So, October was a very busy month for me, and it was nice to get back to the drawing board.
