"Buffalo" could be termed a "before/after" portrait, or perhaps one that depicts a foreshadowing of what would become of the great herds that roamed the Plains. This portrait was done using the stippling or pointillism technique, and can also be seen in the Wildlife Gallery on my website, in a little bit of a different version, where I used some color pencil in the skull portion of the portrait.
